IWC Schaffhausen Unveils the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive, Qualified by Vast for Spaceflight

IWC Schaffhausen recently unveiled the Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive, a tool watch designed and tested in partnership with Vast. The watch is part of our partnership announced in September 2025. This next-generation tool watch has been specifically designed and engineered from the ground up for the unique demands of human spaceflight and timekeeping in space. At our headquarters in Long Beach, California, Vast engineers conducted thorough evaluations of the watch, assessing its resistance to vibrations and pressure changes, as well as the compatibility of its materials with the Haven-1 environment. The Pilot’s Venturer Vertical Drive successfully met all the testing criteria and earned an official certification for spaceflight from Vast.
